1.How do I prove that my dog is a service dog?

Venue staff and landlords can ask only two questions to verify that you have a service dog: 1. Is the dog a service dog required for a disability and 2. What work or task has the dog been trained to perform? If you’re flying with a service dog, you will also need to fill out the DOT’s Service Animal Air Transportation Form.

2.Does my psychiatric service dog have the same rights as a physical disability service dog?

Yes! The ADA grants equal access rights to all types of service dogs, regardless of whether they assist with visible or invisible disabilities. Psychiatric service dogs have identical public access rights as guide dogs, mobility dogs, or medical alert dogs.

3.Do I need to register my service dog and get an ID?
